British Tailor's Chalk
High-quality Tailor's chalk made in the U.K by Hancocks in Dorset.
This family business was established in 1867 and originally manufacturerd tailors crayons and pipe clay. The company has now been run by five generations of the Sandwith family since 1904. They still produce tailors chalk and waxes using chalk dug out of the Dorest countryside, and are dedicated to sourcing other raw materials from the U.K.
Suitable for marking when:
- preparing to darn a hole
- drawing a simple embroidery design on fabric
- drawing a guide line for hemming
- sewing on buttons
Any marks can be removed by gently brushing.
Tip! If you're planning to mark an intricate design then I would recommend using a Frixion pen or Chaco chalk pen.
